MCJ is proud to announce that Betsy Keller has joined our coaching staff. Betsy played both college and semi-professional volleyball in Puerto Rico and New York City. She was the JV head coach for Indian Rocks Christian High School in Largo, Florida, coached for the Pinellas Heat Volleyball Club in Clearwater, Florida, for 4 years, and coached for the Gainesville Juniors the last two 2 years. She has also coached summer team camps at the University of Florida, University of Tampa, and Clearwater Christian College. Betsy holds an associate degree in business management from LaGuardia College in New York. She is presently the head JV coach and varsity assistant coach at Forest High School. We are honored to have Coach Betsy at MCJ.

Jesus is a graduate of the University Catolica of Puerto Rico where he obtained a degree in Physical Education. Since 1988, Jesus has been involved as a player or coach for both volleyball and basketball. Highlights of his career include:

- 4 year scholarship for volleyball to the University of Catolica
- All Star Volleyball Player ARSA inc. - Outside Hitter
- Coach Volleyball Team A.R.S.A – including a Team Select team

Jimmy Collins |
Jimmy is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Law and College of Accounting. He is a partner and shareholder of Ayres, Cluster, Curry, McCall, Collins & Fuller Law Firm. Jimmy is a Past President of the Marion County Bar Association.
Jimmy has been married to Beth for 24 years and has four daughters, Mary Grace, Emily, Caroline, and Anna Catherine.
Jimmy coached the MCJ USAV 12’s team this past season. His 12’s team posted a 34-10 season record, and finished the season as one of the top 15 12’s teams in the state of Florida. Jimmy completed USAV’s CAP 1 course for volleyball coaches. He has volunteered as a coach for girls sports teams in Marion County for the past 15 years.
Jimmy believes coaches must be positive role models. He is committed to building players confidence and self esteem while developing excellence in volleyball. |

COACHING PHILOSOPHY
MCJ’s coaching philosophy is that winning is a by-product of preparation, effort and accountability. MCJ coaches stress team over self. Every player is accountable to their teammates for their effort, attitude and teamwork. We push every player to reach their potential as a player, teammate and person.
MCJ’s coaches provide positive instruction and coaching. MCJ coaches are teachers who encourage players to learn and build confidence. The goal of winning is never detrimental to a player’s self esteem or confidence at MCJ.
MCJ coaches demand excellence from their players. Our coaches provide quality volleyball teaching and instruction. Our players are required to listen, learn and work hard. Our entire coaching staff works together to guarantee that every player and team is provided excellent coaching.
